Matthew West Tjupurrula
Matthew West Tjupurrula was born in1979, he is the son of Freddy West Tjakamarra, a founding shareholder of Papunya Tula Artists. His mother Payu Napaltjarri and a number of his siblings also paint for the company.
Matthew began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in 2002 and resides with his wife and family at Kiwirrkura Community in Western Australia.
His work is in the collection of notable Public Institutions including the Art Gallery of NSW, National Gallery of Victoria, Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art.
