Joseph West Tjupurrula

Joseph West Tjupurrula was born in 1976. He is from Kiwirrikurra and comes from a dynasty of successful artists. His father is Freddy West Tjakamarra one of the pioneers of Papunya Tula Artists, and a force behind the return to Pintupi homelands from Papunya, and his mother is Payu Napaltjarri, also an important artist. Joseph began painting for Papunya Tula Artists around 2010.
